Your experience will be a slam dunk!

Although the exhibit focuses on baseball and its history, basketball somehow made its way in as well. The most acclaimed and famous basketball player of all time, Michael Jordan, made his way into the league in 1994 when he played for the Chicago White Sox. His black bat, complete with his silver signature, is on display in New York at this exhilarating exhibit!

Classic Baseball Memorabilia

New York baseball fans have extreme pride in their teams. From Manhattan to Brooklyn to Queens and everything in between, Yankees and Mets fans will do just about anything to catch a glimpse their team’s history - that is whether it’s a baseball that was hit over Shea Stadium’s fence or one that Babe Ruth played a game with in the 1920’s. Here at Ripley’s Believe It Or Not! Times Square’s baseball exhibit, we’ve caught more than just a foul ball. From signed bats by baseball’s legends to baseballs that have been hit and signed by the famous 1961 New York Yankees, we have slices of history for your amusement.

A Hairy History

Besides classic memorabilia, we have some wacky stuff too to keep you on the edge of your seat. For example, we’ve collected a lot of Ted Williams’ memorabilia. We have his signed bat, his uniform, and a ball signed by him. However, this New York exhibit has more than any huge collector can say for himself: we have his hair. Yes, that’s right. Framed and on display in this New York baseball exhibit is a lock of Ted Williams’ hair. This lock of hair flew in the wind as “The Kid” rounded the bases in the 1950’s!

Take a Seat in “The House That Ruth Built”

We really like history - so much that we like to pretend we’re in it. Therefore, we fixed up some old seats from the 1923 New York Yankees stadium and brought them into our exhibit! For most of our other pieces of history, you can’t touch them just in case they are damaged or stolen. However, in this interactive part of the exhibit, you can actually take a seat where many others watched Babe Ruth call his home run almost 100 years ago!

Also included in our interactive section of the baseball exhibit is a movie that will get you up to speed on some phenomenal baseball history facts you have to choose to believe.
