Ripley’s Believe It or Not! Times Square today announced that the internationally renowned “Cat Man” will be appearing as a curiosity in its odditiorium from August 29th through September 7th.  Cat Man has transformed every inch of his body to appear tiger-like; from filing his teeth, tattooing tiger strips on his skin, and undergoing nearly 20 facial surgeries, including whisker implants and pointed ears.

“The dog days of summer are coming to an end; Cat Man is on his way!,” said Michael Hirsch, General Manager of Ripley’s Believe It or Not! Times Square. “Cat Man is a must-see for people of all ages fascinated by the strange and bizarre. He will feel right at home at Ripley’s Believe It or Not! Times Square.”

Cat Man’s real name is Dennis Avner, a 50 year old male computer programmer from Tonopah, Nevada. His transformation from human to tiger makes him the most modified human being in the world. Claiming to have the mind and soul of a tiger, Avner has spent uncalculated amounts of money altering his body and has devoted much of his life to his feline obsession, including eating raw meat and climbing trees.
